Trying to blog in Bangla

ইউনিকোডে বাংলা লেখা খুব সহজ কাজ নয়। এ পর্যন্ত ব্যবহারে আমার কাছে মনে হয়েছে এটি মোটেই ইউজার ফ্রেন্ডলি নয়। এবং ত্রুটিপূর্ণ। এছাড়া বাংলা টাইপফেসটাও আমার পছন্দ নয়। ছোট ১০/১২ পয়েন্টের ফন্ট স্ক্রীনে ঠিকমত পড়া যায়না। আর কারো কাছে যদি বাংলা ইউনিকোড ফন্ট না থাকে তাহলে সে রীতিমতো ভিমড়ি খাবে।

If you have this font installed, you will have no problem reading Bangla. Boishakhi is the best Bangla font for screen display. It is optimised for web, mobile, PDA display but the problem is it does not support UNICODE. Well, it supports unicode but only in paid version, not in free version. I am not happy with the paid version either, because it seems a bit different from UNICODE. Other Bangla unicode fonts can't read it correctly. Actually it is not 100% UNICODE. But if you have Boishakhi font installed in your system then you will be able to read what I have written in the next paragraph using the free ANSI version. The font is really awesome. Download Boishakhi and install it. Then refresh the browser.
