Mahi wins

Hurray! Mahi wins the election against the alliance. He was my favourite for many reasons. It was a landslide victory. He got 72% of the votes cast (76,598 votes). And for the alliance, gather more enemies. Pushing Mahi and others out of the party was a mistake and this is the price BNP is paying. The alliance lost the battle long before it started. For God's sake, use intelligence and take lessons from failure.

7 June 2004: One of Mahi's supporters Masum, 22, of Kamargaon, was killed and his brother Mamun, 28, severely injured by BNP cadres while they were on the way to join Mahi's victory parade. Nasty, isn't it? BNP have to pay a huge price for each death and each wound it is causing today. We can't just let it go.
